Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026 · under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)

1. Controller

The controller of your personal data is Webology s.r.o., Company ID (IČO): 55 257 224, with its registered office at Mieru 960/25, 028 01 Trstená, Slovakia, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Žilina, Section Sro, File No. 81451/L (hereinafter "we"). For any personal data matters, you can contact us by email at info@webology.sk or via the contact form on this website.

2. What data we process, for what purpose, and on what legal basis

Contact form — name, email, optionally a website address, the content of your message, and language. Purpose: handling your inquiry and related communication. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; if the inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual relations).

User account and use of the service — name, email, password (stored exclusively as a secure hash), and settings. Purpose: providing the CommerVue service. Legal basis: performance of a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Website analytics tools — data about website usage (pages visited, device, approximate location). Purpose: improving the website and the product. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given via the cookie banner. Without consent, the analytics tools are not loaded at all.

Data from connected stores (orders, products, store customers) is processed on behalf of the store operator, with us acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR — exclusively to provide the analytical functions of the service, on the basis of a data processing agreement. We minimize customer data and never use it for our own purposes.

3. Cookies

Essential cookies — application login (commervue_token), technical settings, and storing your consent choice (commervue_cookie_consent). These cookies are necessary for the website and application to function and do not require consent.

Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.) are only loaded after you give consent in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by deleting cookies in your browser — the banner will appear again.

4. Recipients of data

We share data only with processors necessary for operating the service: our hosting and email service providers. If you consent to analytics, also with Google and Microsoft (to the extent of the analytics data). We do not sell your data or share it for third-party marketing purposes.

5. Transfers to third countries

We process data within the European Union. For analytics tools (Google, Microsoft), a transfer to the USA may occur — both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the transfer is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR.

6. Retention periods

We keep contact form inquiries for no longer than 24 months from the last communication. Account data is kept for the duration of the contract and, after it ends, only for as long as necessary to meet legal obligations. Data of a connected store is deleted without undue delay after the store is disconnected or at the request of its operator.

7. Your rights

Under Arts. 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it rectified or erased ("right to be forgotten"), restrict its processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. You may withdraw your consent (contact form, analytics) at any time — withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

To exercise your rights, email us at info@webology.sk. We will respond within one month at the latest. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, Slovakia, www.dataprotection.gov.sk.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not carry out automated individual decision-making or profiling with legal effects within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — the current version is always published on this page together with the date of the last update. We will inform registered users of any material changes.
